Lower Eyelid Retraction Post Blepharoplasty
Ectropion, eyelid retraction or rounding of the lower eyelid contour may result from lower blepharoplasty performed via the skin-muscle flap technique. As a tertiary care referral practice, we have extensive experience repairing these complications. Some patients may be repaired by canthoplasty . Many patients will need canthoplasty along with conjunctivoplasty and hard palate grafting. Mid-face elevation may also be required at the same time. Fat repositioning can also be performed at this surgery. Each person is different in their needs for reconstruction. We can tailor the repair for each person's specific problem, anatomy and concerns.
